As our sponsorship support for Storm Netball Club enters its second year, we are delighted to report the start to another excellent season for the club’s teams. We are grateful to David White for the following update.
The 2013/14 netball season is now in full swing and Carn Brea Storm, sponsored by Wheal Jane Group, has had a good start across all of its four senior teams.
The club’s first team remains unbeaten after three games. The team is one of only two sides still unbeaten in Cornwall Division 1.In Cornwall Division 2, Storm’s second team remains top of the table after getting off to an exciting start to the season.
Storm 3 still remain unbeaten at the top of Cornwall Division 3 after monster wins at home to Falmouth (73-21), away at Silhouettes (64-13) and away at Saints (67-23). The team got promoted last season and are on course to do the same again this season.
Storm 4, the club’s young players (U17/U16/U15), has started well with three wins out of their four games so far.
Having watched this club grow from its formation just eight years ago to probably the most successful and progressive netball club in the county has encouraged us to provide sponsorship support. The club is wonderfully well-managed, and is an asset to girls interested in netball. Storm now has members as young as fourteen who are able to benefit from quality coaching, and it is good to see them progress up through the teams.
