What started as a vision to bring top-quality cycling facilities to Cornwall has evolved into a thriving hub for both road cyclists and mountain bikers, welcoming riders of all ages, levels, and ambitions.
Two Trails, One Community
From high-speed criteriums on the closed-road circuit, to gritty, adrenaline-filled races on the technical mountain bike course, Wheal Jane has become the go-to destination for anyone who loves life on two wheels.
Over the past decade, we’ve hosted:
🚴 Hundreds of road races and coaching sessions — from junior leagues to regional championships.
🚵 Thrilling mountain bike events and XC races, set against a unique post-industrial landscape.
👨👩👧👦 Family-friendly skills sessions, taster events, and club rides that welcome everyone, whether you’re on skinny tyres or knobbly ones.
10 Years of Highlights
- A purpose-built circuit road loop and MTB trail, both evolving over the years to challenge and inspire riders.
- Thousands of competitors — many of whom took their first race start at Wheal Jane and went on to regional or even national success.
- A growing calendar of events, from British Cycling-affiliated races to fun community ride days.
- Endless support from local clubs, coaches, and volunteers who’ve made Wheal Jane Cycle Circuit and MTB Course what it is today.
- Endorsements from nationally recognised riders such as Phil Liggett, Steve Lampier and Chris Opie to name a few have helped to shape the success of the club.
